Comprehensive Osteopathic Care: Holistic Support for Body Movement and Health
Osteopathy is a holistic treatment in the field of manual medicine, founded in 1892 by the American physician Andrew Taylor Still. Since then, the method has constantly evolved.
The motto of osteopathy is: life is movement. Dr. Still recognized that the body is a unit and that all tissues are mutually dependent. To ensure the body functions freely, a prerequisite is unrestricted mobility of all tissues. The body attempts to compensate for its own disorders, but loss of natural movement can affect circulation and nerves in a way that blocks the self-regulation mechanism, causing discomfort or pain.
Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is a further development of classical manual therapy and a modern form of treatment rooted in osteopathy. By applying these special maneuvers, it is possible to influence all body structures, including muscles, fascia, as well as internal organs and hormonal centers.
