Gynecology is a very versatile specialty. On the one hand, physical findings have to be clarified and acute or chronic complaints have to be treated. On the other hand, we try to see and recognize the woman as an individual, always with our holistic approach. In many cases, physical symptoms cannot be separated from psychic-emotional processes.
It is important for us to provide our patients with as much information as possible and thus enable them to make decisions regarding their own health.
The versatility of gynecology is demonstrated by the different age groups of the patients: in young women, initially issues such as puberty, the onset of menstruation, the first experiences with sexuality and contraception, and later family planning are of interest. Before and after the birth of children, annual check-ups offer a good opportunity to discuss current issues of one’s own health with the gynecologist. Later in a woman’s life, the subject of menopause and all the changes associated with it come to mind.
A woman’s life is that hectic! Women are exposed to many changes, and not only cyclical but also age-related.
