Marina Sánchez was born in Madrid in 1993 and has always been curious about how food influences our health and wellbeing. She studied Nutrition and Dietetics at the Autonomous University of Madrid and expanded her education at the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse (France) through an Erasmus scholarship. Later, she moved to the United Kingdom to complete a Master’s in Human Nutrition at the University of Sheffield, where she deepened her knowledge in international nutrition and critical analysis of scientific evidence.
Her vocation to help others led her in 2016 to volunteer in Uganda and Chad, working with women and infants affected by acute malnutrition. Shortly after, she moved to Munich, where she spent six years at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. There, she took part in international projects aimed at transforming the latest scientific findings into practical tools to improve the nutritional health of mothers and children—from preconception through the first years of life. In 2024, she broadened her professional scope by training as a lactation consultant, supporting mothers in hospitals, support groups, workshops, and home visits.
