Marina was born in 1993 in Madrid. She studied Nutrition and Dietetics at the Autonomous University of Madrid and at the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse (France) through the Erasmus programme. She further deepened her knowledge of international nutrition and evidence analysis in the United Kingdom, completing a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Sheffield (UK).
In 2016, she collaborated with international organisations as a volunteer in Uganda and Chad, working with women and infants suffering from acute malnutrition. In 2018, she moved to Munich, where she worked at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. There, she spent six years participating in international projects focused on translating the latest scientific evidence into practical strategies to improve the nutritional status of women and children from preconception through the first two years of life. Marina has extensive experience identifying myths and interpreting scientific results, ensuring an evidence-based and up-to-date approach to her work.
In 2024, she trained as a lactation consultant and has since gained experience in this field, working in maternity wards, breastfeeding groups and courses, and conducting home visits.
In 2025, she joined IWHCM, where she offers nutritional counselling during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as guidance on introducing complementary feeding in babies and other aspects of infant nutrition.
What Marina is most passionate about is working personally with her patients and clients: delving into their world and teaming up with them to find realistic strategies that can be integrated into their everyday lives.
