Inmaculada Santos was born in 1985 in Madrid, with roots in both La Mancha and Mexico. Born into a family of healthcare professionals (as could only be expected), she decided to follow in their footsteps and pursue a career in health in order to improve people’s quality of life. She earned her degree in Physiotherapy from UEM in 2008, specialising in Obstetric and Urogynecological Physiotherapy in 2009.
In her pursuit of treatment excellence, she completed a Master’s in Physiotherapy Research at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, finishing in 2012. She is also a specialist in Non-Invasive Neuromodulation and one of the first professionals in Spain to be trained in Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy.
Professionally, she is the founder of the Rehabilitation Unit at Hospital Ruber (C/Juan Bravo) and Head of Pelvic Floor Units at several Quirón group locations. She also shares her knowledge on social media under the name “Mamá Fisioterapeuta”.
Inmaculada’s vocation is centered around the holistic care of her patients—from stabilising the central nervous system to treating the skin and other integumentary tissues—with a strong focus on restoring quality of life in areas of health that carry a heavy social taboo, such as pelvic floor disorders, and always without gender bias.
“My patients help me grow personally and professionally every day, and they fuel my constant drive to improve the treatments I offer them.”
