Bienestar | IWHCM

In recent years, our society’s lifestyle has become faster and more efficiency-oriented. According to the motto of „higher, faster, further“, we live our lives in such a fast pace that our soul oftentimes is not able to keep up. Each single one of us knows at least one person amongst family and friends with burnout syndrome. Yet, it is not only the pressure of work that lays heavy on us. Working moms, for example, suffer a double burden having to balance work and family, and even stay-at-home moms nowadays have a full timetable.

That is why it is even more important every once in a while to create some free time in your own everyday life, and for example have someone else take care of you instead of you taking care of everyone else. Without any special reason, just because you choose to do so! And such a small gift to yourself could be a „wellness treatment“… what a luxury it could be to be pampered for an hour!

At IWHCM, the first session will start with the therapist asking about your medical history against the background of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the aim to know what imbalance to work on. Based on that a line of treatment will be proposed.

The main objective of the treatment is to restore your well-being, but also – with the use of facial acupuncture – to create a radiant complexion as well as a firm and healthy facial skin. Our approach is not to treat from the outside (e.g. injecting botox), but rather to stimulate regeneration „from inside your body“ by regulating the Qi and balancing the opposites of Yin and Yang.

• Facial acupuncture

Facial acupuncture stimulates the circulation and improves the oxygenation of the tissue. It also activates the lymphatic drainage as well as the skin metabolism and the endogenous production of collagen. Lines disappear, while deeper wrinkles will be reduced and loose skin will become firmer (especially underneath the chin, on the neck and the cheeks). The complexion of the skin will be refined and the aging process delayed.

Furthermore, facial acupuncture can achieve a general well-being by regulating an imbalanced metabolism. Sleeping disorders, states of anxiety, indigestion such as constipation can be improved as well. But also discomfort due to a hormonal unbalance can be reduced.

• Corporal acupuncture

In corporal acupuncture, different points of the so-called meridians are activated by inserting needles into specific points. These points have a therapeutic effect on physical discomfort, but also on hormonal or emotional imbalances.

• Auricular acupuncture

Auricular acupuncture activates different points in the ear that have systematic effects similar to the points in corporal acupuncture. It is often applied in treatments of allergies, smoking cessation or chronic pain.

• Electro-acupuncture

In electro-acupuncture the set of needles inserted in specific points will be stimulated by a low electric current. This is called transcutaneous hyperstimulation.

This treatment is used not only for muscular chronic pain, but also for patients with anxiety or skin problems.

• Foot massage with acupressure

A foot massage can lead to a state of deep relaxation, while at the same time acupuncture points can be activated by pressure instead of needles.

• Radiofrequency treatment of the facial skin

Radiofrequency is a unique, non-invasive treatment for lines and wrinkles that uses radiowave technology to tighten sagging skin and reverse the effects of aging for a rejuvenated, younger-looking appearance. Thermal energy (heat) warms the deep layers of the skin, stimulates collagen production and promotes tissue contraction for improved skin quality and appearance.

• Facial massage

With the facial massage, the metabolism, circulation and oxygenation of the skin will be activated. It also causes lymphatic drainage and is therefore a good treatment for edema. At the same time, the facial muscles will be relaxed.

• Hydrating facial mask

At the end of any acupuncture or radiofrequency treatment you can choose a moisturizing tissue mask. Due to the skin being more receptive after the treatments, the mask achieves maximum benefit.

• Dermarolling, Microneedeling

A dermaroller is a small rolling device for the skin that has hundreds of tiny needles. The needles are made of surgical steel and vary in length from 0,2 up to 1.5 millimeters.

The device is rolled in different directions over the facial skin, which causes the surface of the skin to become slightly roughened. Due to these „micro“-injuries, the skin’s own new production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid will be increased. These substances are responsible for the elasticity and firmness of the skin. Regular use of the dermaroller leads to a renewing of the superficial skin levels in the long term. Scars, lines, wrinkles and small imperfections can be alleviated.

• LED (Light Emmiting Diodes) treatment

Depending on the indication, LED therapy uses different colors of the diodes.

For example, the red light stimulates the production of collagen and is used quite often for skin rejuvenation. The blue light, however, has an antibacterial effect and is used for the treatment of acne.
